How We Choose Ingredients to Make Body Scrubs

Whenever we make body scrubs, handmade soaps and other spa products, it’s imperative that we use the best quality ingredients we could afford. Our body scrubs have the ingredients and texture to provide a gentle and effective exfoliation. Everything we put on the skin gets absorbed within it, so take that into account when choosing ingredients to make body scrubs.

Body scrubs are perfect for exfoliating, they slough aside dead epidermis cells and nourish the skin beneath, leaving the skin soft and glowing through out. Body scrubs may contain an exfoliant like salt, sugar, jojoba beads, or ground nut hulls suspended in an oil or oil and butter base. With regard to using salt and sugar as a base, we use a quality salt or sugar. If we are making a salt scrub, choose a salt base such as Epsom salts or Dead Sea salts. If we are making a sugar scrub, choose a sugar base such as brown sugar or turbinado sugar. Body scrubs are often associated with aromatherapy and our body scrubs offer soothing smells designed to add pleasure to your shower experience. You can easily create a spa-like ambiance with an aroma-inspired scrub.

We use plant-based ingredients and essential oils for fragrance replace petroleum-derived chemicals with ones that are healthy for you.

Choosing oil, We use the following: cold processed coconut oil, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, rice bran oil. These oils and essential oils contain therapeutic properties for different skin types, depending on the type of oil.

These are massaged onto wet or dry skin and are more for moisturizing than cleansing. Similar treatments are commonly found in high-end spas. They are suitable for all skin types and make a particularly nice dry skin treatment. It is more effective to use moderate pressure for a longer time than to scrub harshly and quickly. Oil based scrubs can be used on wet or dry skin. If you have dry or sensitive skin, you may wish to only use it on wet skin.Don’t scrub too hard and find a scent you love. For the best results, look for a natural body scrub with essential oils.
